The Four Ds: When Hard Times Make Memories Precious
Sometimes clients come to us at joyful milestones such as a graduation, wedding, or retirement. Sadly, people also find us during difficult events when they’re reminded of the shortness of life and the value of memories.
Death
The death of a parent, grandparent, or other family member causes people to prioritize their family memories. It’s a natural time to gather family photos, preserve them for future generations, and share them with others.
Dementia
Dementia and Alzheimer’s are cruel diseases that have impacted some of our staff families. We understand the desire to preserve and enjoy family memories before it’s too late.
Diagnosis
An unexpected medical diagnosis can put things in perspective and change your priorities. The family photo project you planned to tackle “one day” can suddenly become a top priority and we can help. We can accomplish in days or weeks what would take most people months or years to finish.
Divorce
As an adult child of divorce, I understand some of the ways that a broken family can make family photos even more complicated. Our approach to Family Photo Archives means everybody can have anything that’s important to them in a fair and confidential way.
