Digital Delivery

Whether we scan your photos, convert your home movies, or organize your digital photos, we deliver your project in a way that’s fast, reliable, and easy to use:

  • Smaller projects are delivered on a high-speed USB thumb drive
  • Larger projects are delivered on an external USB hard drive

We prepare your drives for maximum compatibility and reliability so your memories are safe. Your memories can be accessed on Mac or Windows computers, and video projects can be viewed on your computer and most smart TVs using devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and Google Chromecast.

We can also help you with:

  • Photo backup strategies
  • Personal web site to access your Family Photo Archive from anywhere
  • Personal YouTube playlist to view and share your home movies

How do you deliver my completed project?

We deliver smaller projects on a USB thumb drive and larger projects on an external USB hard drive.

Can I get more than one thumb drive or hard drive?

Yes, we can provide multiple drives if you need more for gifts or backups.

Do you convert home movies to DVD?

We don’t convert home movies to DVD because it’s not a good format for long term archives, editing, or sharing. Our founder used to work in the CD/DVD industry and from experience knows that DVDs are easy to scratch and prone to digital decay. We deliver all projects on a USB thumb drive or external USB hard drive which are much faster, safer, and more reliable.

Will the thumb drive or hard drive work on my computer?

Yes, we prepare all USB thumb drives with the exFAT format so they work on Mac and Windows computers. For USB external hard drives we will format the drive to Apple/APFS or Windows/NTFS format for maximum compatibility and reliability for your computer.

Will the thumb drive or external hard drive be compatible with the smaller USB-C port on my computer?

For maximum compatibility, we offer USB devices with the traditional rectangular connector. If your computer only has the smaller USB-C port we recommend this inexpensive USB-C adapter.

How do I keep my photos backed up?

We recommend the 3-2-1 backup strategy, which is three copies, two different media, and one copy off site. At the end of your project we can help you get set up for safe and reliable backups.

How do I access my photos and videos when I'm away from my computer?

USB thumb drives and external hard drives are great for storage and backups, but they’re not always convenient for on-the-go access. We can create a personal web site for your photos and a personal YouTube playlist for your home movies so you can access your memories from anywhere. You can access these cloud services from smart phones, tablets, web browsers, and most smart TVs.
