Stereograph

Stereographs are a pair of slightly different photos of the same scene. With one photo for the left eye and one for the right eye, they create a 3D effect when viewed through a stereoscope. The first stereograph was created in 1851 from a pair of daguerreotypes, but later versions used albumen prints mounted side-by-side on a card. Stereographs reached their greatest popularity between 1870-1920 and some of the most popular genres included street scenes, landscapes, and trains.
