Saving Space with Archival Storage
Many of our clients ask us if they should keep their original photos after we scan them. We suggest keeping them, and this photo is a great example of why!
When we move photos from their original packaging and rehouse them in space-saving archival storage, including sleeves, envelopes, and boxes, they usually take up half the size of the original volume. On the left are all the drug store/photo lab boxes, envelopes, receipts, and coupons. On the right are the same negatives and prints in archival sleeves, envelopes, and boxes. Discarding double prints can reduce the volume even further.
This efficiency is amazing and people feel relieved taking less stuff back to their homes. Archival storage helps you downsize today and preserve your original photos for the future.
