SmartMedia

SmartMedia cards were introduced by Toshiba in 1995 and adoption peaked around 2001 with heavy support from Fuji and Olympus. These cards are physically delicate and technically prone to corruption, which hindered widespread adoption. Manufacturing ceased in 2006 and no new devices support the SmartMedia format.
