xD Picture Card

The xD-Picture Card format was developed by Olympus and Fujifilm in 2002 to compete with other formats including SD, CompactFlash, and Memory Stick. The relatively high cost of the format hindered adoption, and the last Fujifilm camera to support xD Picture cards was released in early 2009.
