Real Photo Postcard (RPPC)

The first real photo postcard (RPPC) was mailed in 1899, but the style exploded in 1902 when the Eastman Kodak Company began selling Velox photo paper with a pre-printed postcard on the back. The format grew in popularity in 1903 when Kodak released the No. 3A Folding Pocket camera which used 122 film specifically designed for postcard-sized prints.
