Reel to reel audio recordings are captured on magnetized tape that’s spooled on an open reel. These recordings have many variations including different reel diameters, playback speeds, and they can include mono or stereo tracks depending on the equipment. Reel to reel audio was popular among consumers and professionals alike, and used to record music, dictation, personal interviews, and religious services.
