Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe)

NVMe is a new type of SSD combined with a faster way to access that storage. The practical result is data transfer speeds 7X faster than SSD. You’ll probably never see bare NVMe memory like this, but they are used in laptop computers and you can also use them in an external enclosure. They are more expensive than SSDs and conventional spinning hard drives, but they are so fast that you can copy 1TB of photos in minutes.
